From 02.05. to 05.05.2019 a delegation of the fire brigade of Flecken Adelebsen visited together with the district fire master Volker Keilholz the twin town Wielu\u0144 and the partner municipality Ostr\u00f3wek. A total of 23 comrades from the local fire brigades Adelebsen, Barterode, Eberhausen, G\u00fcntersen and Wibbecke accepted the invitation to celebrate the 228th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution on 3 May, as well as the day of the fire brigades and the twentieth anniversary of the partnership ,<\/p>\n

Since September 10, 1999, there is an official partnership with the town of Wielu\u0144 and the community Ostr\u00f3wek, which lives in particular by the commitment of the then community steward and today’s district fireman Volker Keilholz. Since then, there have been a lot of mutual contacts and official visits of the municipal councils and the fire brigade. In recent years, among other things, joint camps of youth fire brigades have taken place both in Germany and in Poland.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, May 2, the visit started with a welcome by the Mayor of Wielu\u0144 in the Market Square. The evening was spent with a dinner together with the mayor, the council member responsible for fire, as well as the former mayor Mr. Adamski, who had signed the partnership agreement at that time.<\/p>\n

On Friday, May 3, the official program began: together with the fire brigade of the city Wielu\u0144 was marched to the church and celebrated there the Holy Mass on the occasion of the national holiday of Poland. After several speeches, among others the mayor of Wielu\u0144 and a wreath-laying ceremony at the town hall, a visit of the volunteer fire-brigade Wielu\u0144 followed. There the former fire engine LF8 of the fire brigade Adelebsen was visited, which was transferred some years ago to the Polish fire-brigade. In the afternoon, during a visit to the fire brigade in Kad\u0142ub, a football match took place between the German and the Polish firefighters. Afterwards, the evening was concluded together with a barbecue.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, May 4, the community Ostr\u00f3wek was first visited, where there was a ceremony with representatives of politics and the fire department. We visited the sports facilities and the barbecue area, as well as the planted in honor of Volker Keilholz German Oak. After a communal lunch, they drove to Bia\u0142a to celebrate Holy Mass on the occasion of the day of Saint Florian, patron saint of the fire brigade. The day of Saint Florian can therefore also be called the “day of the fire brigade”. Following the fair, the twelfth anniversary of the partnership was celebrated in the volunteer fire department hall. Here the TLF 16\/25 from Barterode could be visited, which is meanwhile with the firefighter mates in Naramice. (Another vehicle from the community Adelebsen is the old TLF 8 from Barterode, which is located in Dymek)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
